Okay, so in 2022 we decided to start posting blogs on our website. We were diligent for a few months, but we definitely lost momentum....ooops hahah. However, Moravian Coffee did NOT lose momentum! In fact, we opened our first full-fledged coffee shop this year in Midlothian, Texas! It was a crazy process and God's hand has been all over it. We moved into the space in January and spent about a month and a half getting all of our roasting equipment installed, building out the coffee bar, and furnishing the space to make it our own. Our whole community jumped in to help, and it truly wouldn't have been possible without all of their help and support. We are forever grateful to our friends and family that worked night and day with us to get this coffee shop open. The days were long and tiring, but I know we will all look back fondly at those memories. We had our grand opening on February 11th of this year, and it has been a whirlwind ever since then. We have learned so much about what it takes to run a coffee shop alongside our roastery. It has been a dream come true to have a space for the local community to meet, connect, work, study, etc. all while enjoying a cup of coffee that we have worked so hard to make excellent. Having our very own coffee shop has been a long, difficult process with lots of highs and lows over the past 4 years, but as I sit here writing this on a Friday afternoon I'm surrounded by tables, barstools, and couches filled with people connecting, laughing, and enjoying a space that we have dreamed and prayed about for years. It's moments like right now that I'm overwhelmed by the goodness and faithfulness of God to help us establish something that started as a conversation at our kitchen table as college students in 2018. Alright, there's a brief overview of what has been going on over the past 10 months! Now, we are in preparation mode for all the busyness that the holiday season brings along with it!
I figured now would be a good time to fill you all in on some of the exciting stuff we've been working on. If you are local, we recently got some new sweatshirts and t-shirts in stock available in-store only. You can see the sweatshirt in the picture of me below :P We also have gift cards and mugs available, which would make great gifts or stocking stuffers as Christmas approaches. If you have any big events coming up that could benefit from coffee catering, we still cater events regularly, and we would love to help you take your event to the next level. Just fill out the form on our website and we'll reach out within a few days! Now, the most important part, COFFEE :) We have been more passionate about coffee sourcing and roasting than ever before. We have some exciting new coffees being released soon, so keep your eyes out in-store and online. We will also have some great holiday deals rolling out in the next month or so.
